Raja Ji Rawat, Spiritual Gangster, Still Living the Dream in 2026

These photos were sent to me and appeared to come from a social networking page belonging to Navi Rawat, daughter of Raja Rawat and the former Fraulein Claudia Littman. Claudia and her BFF (then) Marolyn Johnson created quite a stir in the upper echelons of 1973-4 Divine Light Mission and married the alpha boys of the Holy Family. A quick google of social media shows Navi, who strangely became far more famous than her uncle, though she was only a relatively minor Hollywood star who is apparenlty living a happy and contented family life with three daughters. Its hard to believe that her birth was being meditated upon by thousands "all over the world." The former Lord of the Universe had at one time predicted the Holy Family would appear regularly on network television but mistook which member that would be.

Premies throughout the United States and Canada once again had the opportunity to help with the birth of a child in Guru Maharaj Ji's family when on Sunday, June 5, they meditated throughout the afternoon. At 9:13 p.m., about three hours after premies on the west coast ended their meditation, a girl to be named Navlata (new vine) was delivered at the Malibu residence to Raja Ji and Claudia. She weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces, and since she's arrived in the world, she's been "very good, hardly ever cries, and is very aware," according to Judy Osborne, an initiator who has been doing childcare service in Maharaj Ji's family. "She smiled within the first few minutes," Judy said of Navlata, emphasizing that the entire birth and all the events leading up to it were possible only through everyone's surrender to Guru Maharaj Ji. … But throughout, Judy said, Claudia was able to surrender and flow with it. "The labor was a completely natural thing," Judy said. "It was very, very in the flow. Guru Maharaj Ji was always the uppermost thing for everyone. Claudia had his picture at her bedside throughout." Maharaj Ji coached Claudia in the last stages of the birth, and after the birth, held her hand.

Premies all over the world spent the Sunday in meditation to ensure the correct vibe on Earth for birth of the "New Vine" as Maharaji named her. Songs were composed in her honour though none predicted she would become a famous Hollywood actress. Her father used the birth as an opportunity to reminisce about the power of his youngest brother and Prem's plan for this whole universe, "Oh, Guru Maharaj Ji, without your Grace even leaves cannot move." Less was heard about the family during the 1980's as the magazines and newsletters were no longer being published and the "holy family" theology was no longer publicly spoken about. Navlata was no longer mentioned as Claudia Littman had divorced Raja (who was no longer a Ji). Understandably, she did not mention her unusual family in her publicity.

However she is posting photos of her father on social media so the weird upbringing hasn't destroyed the family ties. Raja Rawat is still appearing on stage with members of his holy family but maybe there is a message in that T-Shirt in which he seems to love being photographed.

Raja Rawat was a poor public speaker but as the only brother who didn't renounce, repudiate and reject him after their mother disowned, disinherited, dismissed, deposed and dethroned him, many of the 'satsangs' he made were recorded, edited and printed.

In September 1973 Prem Rawat was on a roll.
