Prem Rawat Stars in the Keep On Truckin' film
This film include excerpts from speeches that Prem Rawat made in 1975 at Guru Puja Festivals in:
- Sydney and Melbourne, Australia
- Caracas, Venezuela
- Essen, Germany
'Puja' means worship and these festivals were the highlights of Divine Light Mission's annual activities. At this time Divine Light Mission was recovering from a series of setbacks: the failure of the Millenium '73 festival, the scandal caused the marriage od 16 year old Pem Rawat to a 24 year old Californian woman whom he titled "Durga Mata Ji" and the disowning and disinheriting of Rawat by his mother and elder brothers for dope smoking, drunkenness and a playboy lifestyle.
He was attempting to keep his followers practising the Knowledge and explaining away their disillusionment and doubts as caused by their "Mind" which was engaged in a life and death war to prevent them practising the meditation and becoming liberated. During this period his wife, Marolyn Rawat, nee Johnson newly christened as Durga (Mata) Ji, (his most humble and dedicated follower) took an active role in the recruitment of his religion and the inspiring of his followers. Her speeches (satsangs) were intense and sincere even though they were complete nonsense and the things she was saying have since been disavowed by her husband and Master. …which is very beautiful, is that the chief engineer is with us. And in case anything goes wrong, give him a call, and he'll come on with his yellow flashin' lights and will
take care of your car, and you'll be back on your way. So there is no problem. Just keep on truckin'.
If you don't keep on truckin', you'll run, you'll just discharge your battery, and then you won't even be able to give him a call, and then he won't be able to even come to you.
So just keep on truckin'. So far you do that, there is no problem.

And it's like, this Knowledge that we all have received by the Grace is so beautiful, is so, so gorgeous, that here we are, in this world, and we have this Knowledge,
and now we can experience it; we can realize it. Because, you see, this Knowledge was always there in this world. But not necessarily people could really receive it so easy as it has been made in, in this century. And by the Grace, by this Almighty Grace, by this beautiful, beautiful - really I should say that this is just our good fortune that this Knowledge has been made so available to this whole humanity in this age, in this darkest age.
And so premies, realize and understand that really what you have is so beautiful. And it's like I'm not advertising this Knowledge, because you can never advertise this Knowledge. But what I am saying is that now you have got it, look! Realize yourself how beautiful it is, how perfect it is. You know, and I mean, what else is there left to do in this world but to humbly accept the glass of water and go (mimics drinking) and just drink it. And you have the glass of water. Now the only thing there is left to do is to drink it. And when you will drink it, you will realize, you will understand, how beautiful it is.

You see, in this world, it's hard to go out and try to experience love. It's extremely hard to go out and try to assess love, try to evaluate love because we don't realize one thing in this
world that love is a standard feature which is built in, in inside of us when we, we come into this world. You see, it's like a standard feaure, you don't pay anything extra for it,
and you don't have to request it, it's always there and that love, that very subtle experience, that very beautiful experience is what we all want to experience.
And all our lives we try to search for it, all our lives we try to feel for it and we use our bodily sense trying to experience that beauty, that joy, that perfection, that ultimate experience and this is what the Word is all about. Peek out of your windows and you will see that whatever there is in this world, that 10 storey shopping center to that little Volkswagen to whatever there is in this world is a make-believe world. It is no different than that little child's world who makes believe his world. But the only thing is that the scale of the proportion it's done at is so big, so huge that there is so much worthless energy put into it but nobody is understanding, nobody is relating, nobody is finding out what is that thing that is motionless and still makes everything move in this world. You see in that experience is when people realize, that's what we call, for people who haven't realized Knowledge yet, that experience when we understand, when we pause for one second, turn around and say "What are we here for?" and all the premies who realized this Knowledge. See this is the realization, they seek their Lord, they seek their Guru Maharaj Ji and He is waiting, He's always behind you, He's like your shadow and He's always waiting but He's not going to talk to you unless you turn around and what he does, this is, I mean this is what has, the Perfect Master has done this every time He has come into this world so what He does, He sends His devotees out in front of you and what they do is they go (points, laughter) and some people say "Forget it, this guy's cuckoo" and they walk off. Some people stop and they're looking (rubs his face) at the mirror, they think maybe there's something on their face. But really when that beautiful, beautiful experience comes to us and we realize it and we understand it and we know it and we feel it we call it, in brackets, getting blissed out.
What we understand in this world, What we can comprehended in this world, Guru Maharaj Ji is just a millimeter away from that. He is just a millimeter away. He is in this body and He, He comes in same body, he comes as a human being all the time but He has so much potential, He has so much power, He has so much Grace, you know. I mean it's like He can teach you any lesson, at any time, do anything at any time. The almighty, all perfect, the most, I mean, you can't even put a point, put a bracket to who he is.
Durga Ji: And this is our Guru Maharaj Ji and you know it's just like we can't even begin to believe or understand or even comprehend who Guru Maharaj Ji is. And who we are and why we're here, you know, it's just like it's so beautiful that He's that He's here now and He's here for us. He's here for each one of us and there's no way we could ever thank our Guru Maharaj Ji for what He's done, for coming here and bearing this human body and coming to us and revealing Himself to us because Knowledge is something that no man can take away from you, it's something that you can't lose, it's something that you can't burn, it's something that you can't, that can't be taken away from us, you know, it's just really within us all the time. With every breath we take we know this, this precious Knowledge, this energy which is sustaining us. And it's so beautiful premies, it's like, He shows us perfection within ourselves which was always there but now we know how to experience it and that is what Perfect Master is. Perfect Master shows us the perfection within ourselves because Perfect Master is that perfection. And that's really too much for me to comprehend. I live with Maharaji every day (begins to weep) and I can't comprehend that perfection but it's so beautiful premies. Maharaji's so good to us because He's our everything and He loves us so much.
Why does night-time come? Why is there a sunrise? And why is there a sunset? Because that brings us, that really makes us appreciate when that sun comes out. It really, really makes us appreciate sun, that night-time does.
And so premies, that is the reason of mind, what mind does, it puts us into so much illusion, into so much delusion that it really makes us appreciate Knowledge. It puts us into so much misery, it puts us into so much pain within inside of our heart that we really, really appreciate what that truth is. And so premies, that is the reason that even after receiving Knowledge we need Guru Maharaj Ji. We need Guru Guru Maharaj Ji is a doctor who is always needed in the war, you see it is a war. It is a war between us and our minds. We have trying to to demolish our mind, our ego, our our our conceptions, our I mean the wall that we have built up and it's a war we are fighting it I mean it's it's a constant fight but if we keep on hangin', just keep on hangin', I mean that's all you need to do. Keep on hangin' there, everything will be fine.
And it's so beautiful, some people sit there and think about Knowledge, they figure out Knowledge. Knowledge is not a thing to be thought about. And this is why they don't experience Knowledge
because they keep on thinking about Knowledge. Knowledge is something that you experience. You see, you can sit down and you can think about food and think about food and think about food.
Your stomach is never going to get filled up. Food is something to be eaten. Water is something that you drink not think about. So premies, Knowledge is something that you experience, that you realize
within your heart not that you something you sit down you say "Hwey uh man, what is this? It's this and it's that and … no, it is something that is already within inside of us
and it's vibrating within inside of us and we have to merge inside of us and we have to be one within inside of us and so premies there's so much satsang can be given but it's lie
unless we really make ourselves, we have to make that decision. You know it's not like we sit down and we hope for something to happen, just to blast off into the sky. No, we have to make that
decision that really yes we want that experience, that yes, really we want to do it. We want to do it. We want to do it. We can do it. God has given us, within inside of us that Grace,
that ??ness, that energy which can definitely make it possible for us to do it. We have it built in within inside of us, standard. So do it, realize it, you know because we never know
of this lifetime, of this opportunity until there is a crucial moment and we really understand that Oh brother, it's a different story altogether.
And this is the reason, you know, I mean, there is a definite reason to this because every Perfect Master who has come has said "realize this Knowledge now! Understand it, now!"
Not, not, don't, not, not three years later. Not one hundred years later. Not five hundred years later. Now! You see and so now is the time.

Durga Ji: So the seed that Guru Maharaj Ji has sown is planted deep within you and you must put effort to it, it is your baby. It is something that you can't leave, it is something that you must give effort and attention and love to it and that seed will grow and when it grows it feels so wonderful because that love grows and it is something that we must spread because this world is in a situation now that it has to spread because there's really nothing else. You know we look at this world and all the things that are going on in this world and they're really going nowhere. But this Knowledge, it is the thing we must put our everything into because it is our everything. It's our everything premies, not just another trip, not just another thing, it's our everything. And when we realize it's our everything, we must put our everything into it because that's why we're here. And really premies there's so many of us and we need each other so much. We need to give each other satsang, we need to do service together, we need to meditate together. We need to help each other and when one of us falls, we need to pick each other up and if I fall, you need to pick me up and if you fall we need to pick you up because we're all on this same path and we need to be strong together, so we can thank Guru Maharaj Ji in our hearts for guiding us each other and we must really be united and by His Grace, we're going to spread this Knowledge to the whole world.

So premies we know what we have got in common. We know that the same thread
puts us together, that we really know that now we are a garland, that we really know that there is some use out of this
garland, that we now realize that we are not something all by ourselves in this really miserable world. But we have a
thread, and we have other companions in this world that help each other in this world to realize each other, to realize
this Knowledge, to realize the perfection, to realize the beauty, and to boost each other.
I mean, can you imagine if in America, and maybe in Caracas, and in England, and in India, and in Hong Kong, there
was only one premie? (One premie in Caracas, one premie in England, one premie in India, one premie in America, one
premie in Hong Kong?) I mean, they would be there. But it's like, but now look at it. There are so many premies, and every premie
gives a boost to each other, and we look, you know it's like so beautiful.
Darshan in Essen appears to have been just walking past Rawat rather than bowing and kissing his feet. I recall reading somewhere that he called them back for a real darshan line.
So many premies, young, small, big, old, all of us have realized, have paused for a second and understood that there is a purpose to be alive, that there is a reason why should we should
be here, that there is definitely, definitely a reason and we have to realize that reason. That Knowledge, that beautiful, beautiful, incredible Knowledge and that's what's so beautiful,
that's what's so incredible, you know, and it's like you've experienced it now, we're home back safe but we have an option, see, and the option is to put a full-stop or just to put a comma
and just keep on going.

This is why Guru Maharaj Ji comes into this world, reveals us the Knowledge, goes around and gives satsang, is to tell premies, "Well, keep on doing service, keep on doing satsang, keep on
doing meditation. …
And a lot of premies think, "Well if this Knowledge is the way it is, it's perfect, and I've realized it, then why do I need to do meditation?" Well this Knowledge is perfect but you aren't.
And that's the reason why you need to do service, satsang, service and meditation.

And it just goes on and on and on because that love is just totally infinite and grows and grows and grows and grows and we all experience it together and becomes
more beautiful and more beautiful and more beautiful.

I don't know how many of these premies here, were here, really do meditation, because this is a matter that we just can't put away in the back of our heads. This is a very important matter, this is a matter of this human life. We are here for a certain purpose, we are here for a certain mission and this mission has to be accomplished. This is no joke. You see, this is no joke. We can't just, we can't just, every time there is a satsang program, we can't just attend it, then go back home and never even think about meditation, never even do meditation, never even realize anything just for the sake of joining a club named Divine Light Mission. Do we do this? Now premies, let me tell you something. Divine Light Mission ain't a club, and this life ain't no joke. We are here for a certain reason. And it's like let me tell you one thing more, this mind will make every excuse possible to prevent you from doing meditation. He says, you konw, you are sitting down to do meditation, and all of a sudden the mind goes, "Hey, what about your coffeepot?" "Hey, you left your blender on." "Why don't you shut off the television?" "Why don't you unplug it?" "Why don't you lock your door?" (laughter) "Why don't you pull up your blanket on you? It's kinda cold." "Why don't you turn on the fan?" "Why don't you turn up the air conditioner?" "Why don't you turn down the air conditioner?" It gives all the excuses in the world. I mean you are sitting and reading a magazine, and nothing bothers you. The blender is on, the television is on, the fan is up and the door is open, and everything is okay. Then you go down to do meditation, and suddenly everything is wrong. And so premies, you have to be strong, you have to be firm and understand and really meditate.
Durga Ji: And so premies as Maharaji's satsang was just emphasising so much, you know, there is this key, you know, there is this combination, the secret that He's given us and that is satsang and service and meditation. Riding in the car, you know, Maharaji goes "Australia, what a fascinating place? Quite" (attempts posh English accent) you know (laughter) trying to be Australian (she has no idea, extreme laughter and applause) and that's really, it's just so beautiful to see Maharaji, you know, just really loving the place that He's in and the reason He loves it is because of, of you. And so I hope all of us continue to just keep, keep trying you know, keep, keep trucking as Maharaji says just keep on truckin' and just keep on going and just keep growing and dissolving and realizing.
Guru Maharaj Ji (Prem Rawat): So just keep on truckin'. So far you do that, there is no problems.
