The moment we have been impatiently waiting for has finally arrived. Yes, today, the 2nd of February, there is going to be a very big live event in Delhi Rohini, Youth Peace Fest, for which young people from many cities are coming. It's a very good new thought. I had watched a video on YouTube which I liked a lot. Actually I really enjoyed it. I watched a few more videos and when I found out there's an event here and since I was in the neighborhood with my relatives, I figured it would be great to come for the first time so here I am. There is such a large number of people here and most of them are young, about 18 to 35. I'm quite excited to hear him speak. There was something special about the card that said, I have many reasons why there should be peace in this world. I'm excited to find out what that is. The minute I found out that this Youth Peace Fest was happening, I was very excited. I was like, yes, I want to go and see what he's going to speak about. Everyone's excitement is slowly increasing so come, let's take a look at what's going to happen next. He dedicated his entire life to spreading the message of peace. I welcome on stage, Mr. Prem Rawat. It's wonderful that so many people are gathered here today to listen about peace and I am here too to speak to you about peace. So I'd like to say one thing and it will be in the form of a story. It's a short story but its meaning is very important. If you want to understand it and you'll only be able to understand it after you hear it, then the story goes like this. Once there was a king and in three or four days he had to go to war. So he was getting ready, sitting down with his generals, talking with them about what should be done here, what should be done there. But that evening when he went to sleep, then one thing came to his mind and he thought, I'm going to war, I'm going to battle and there's a possibility I could die. And if I die, what will happen? Will I go to heaven or will I go to hell? So all night long, this is what kept roaming in his head. Will I go to heaven? Will I go to hell? The same thing happened the next day.

Now the day arrived when he had to go to battle and the king is sitting on his horse and he's wearing all his armor and he's going along on his horse and behind him is his entire army. The entire army is walking behind him. And once again, this occurred to him, if I die, will I go to heaven or will I go to hell? Will I go to heaven or will I go to hell? Then his eyes fell upon a man who was coming toward him. So the king thought, who is this man? He sees this big army moving toward him and he doesn't even care about this whole army that's moving and whether I'm a king or not, who is this man? So the king steered his horse toward that man and asked him, who are you? And the man said, I'm a human being, I am who I am. Where have you come from? I have a place close by where I live. So the king felt that this man was something special. So he asked him, what do you do? I spread Knowledge. So the king felt, I should ask him. So the king asked him, I am a king and if I die, will I go to heaven or will I go to hell? And the man said, I don't know. The king said, well, at least tell me this, that what is heaven and what is hell? So the man said, king, I do not have time. I have to go somewhere. The king felt very bad about this. I am the king and he's telling me that he doesn't have time. The king got very angry. So then in anger he said, don't you know who I am? I am the king and if I wanted, I could have you beheaded right now. So then the man said, king, right now you are in hell. You are getting so angry in this moment, you are in hell. The king thought about it and said, yes, this is a very serious matter. That yes, I was getting very angry and truly what this person said to me is true. So the king got off his horse, got on his knees in front of this man. With folded hands he said, whoever you are, what you have said was very beautiful. You have opened my eyes. I am indebted to you. You have graced me so much.

Then the man said, king, now you are in heaven. I am here to talk about peace. Wherever I go, I speak to people about peace. But people have a preconceived idea of what peace is. They have their preconceived thoughts of what peace is. I'd like to give you another example. This is not a story, it's an example. All of the people that are sitting here, just say for example that everyone is really hungry, very hungry. What should be done? Everyone's hungry and only if there's some kind of food that they can eat, will the hunger be satisfied. Think about it. So what should happen? Should I eat? Just I should eat? And then I can come and give a description to you that I ate, my hunger is satisfied, and the food was very good. The lentils were spicy and tasty, the rice was well done, the bread was delicious and hot, and the vegetables were very good too. I really enjoyed it. Will that satisfy your hunger? Should someone be given an award? Will that satisfy your hunger? How? It's a very simple example. Hunger will only be satisfied when you receive food and one more thing, that you will eat that food. Then, if you take the food and put it in your pocket, that will not satisfy your hunger. If you put that food in a cupboard, that will not satisfy your hunger. Once you get the food, you'll need to eat the food and only then will your hunger be satisfied. The desire for peace, the thirst for peace, is like that hunger. And when will that hunger be satisfied? When every human being experiences that peace in their life. Then, I have had the opportunity to meet with intellectual people and many times they try to convince me that what you are talking about is a little impossible, it's very difficult. Then I say to them, why do you have this head? Is there any horsepower here? If human beings can go to the moon, then in this world, for each person, isn't the experience of peace possible? When peace is already within each human being, you do not need to create it, it's already there. But what else is there? There's good news and there's bad news. The good news is that in each human being's heart, within each human being, there is peace.

The bad news? There is also unrest. There is also unrest, desires, anger, arrogance, and greed. When there is a mine of these things within a person, there is no difference between a fool and a scholar. Both are the same. Whether you've done something, you've done nothing, you're educated, you're illiterate. Because I haven't said this, Kabir Das said it. As long as there's a mine of all these things within, which things? Desire, anger, attachment, and greed. So is it there? Is it? I went to look and search to find someone who was bad. And I couldn't find anyone who was bad. When I looked within myself, there was no one worse than I. Have you looked within yourself? Have you? Have you? Desire, anger, attachment, and greed. As long as there's a mine of all these things within. Nobody talks about this. There are big countries, great countries, but what's inside? Desire, anger, arrogance, and greed. Greedy like you can't believe. A human being has become so greedy, that he has become blind. And once he becomes blind, he cannot see. So he's grabbing for things with his hands. What he needs to do, what he shouldn't do, save me, do this, do that. Everywhere he goes. Everywhere he goes. And for that too, it has been said, it is within the heart, but a person cannot recognize it. And disgraced is such a life, because Tulsidas says, the whole world has a cataract. I'm talking about peace. If I were speaking about anything else, it would be a different story.

But when it comes to peace, no, I don't think it's possible. Why is this here? And why is it on the top? So that at least all the ideas that come to your head, they can flow downward and result in some kind of action. If our head was on the bottom, then you would have to pump it. But it's on the top. But there's no horsepower. Have you ever seen this? People trying to kick-start their scooter with their foot? And then, there are some people who are so stubborn, so stubborn. Maybe, and it's possible, that there's no petrol in that scooter at all. And the world can shift from one place to the other. And their scooter wouldn't start, but they're still going at it, going at it, trying to kick-start it. And that's the condition of the world. Nobody is thinking. Without peace, this world will be devastated. Today, people see each other's faces, but not the value of each human being. They don't understand what a human being is. Do you know what a human being is comprised of? 99% of you is made up of these six things. What are they? Oxygen, Hydrogen, Carbon, Calcium, Phosphorus, and Nitrogen. That's it. You, you, you, you, you too, you, you, whether you're American, Australian, African, everyone is made of those things. 99% of you. And 70% of you is water. What animosity do you have towards water? Why do you make a human being your enemy? When whatever they are made of, you are made of the same. If you hate that person, that means only one thing. You hate yourself as well. When you do not respect another human being, what does that mean? You do not respect yourself either.

Then you are finished. You are finished. That person's life is already finished, but now yours is too. You should not sit in the same boat with your enemy. Am I right? Because if he, in his mind thinks, I should drill a hole in this boat, he will drown and you will too. That's what I'm talking about. All of these things that are happening in this world, the son that hates his father, the father that hates his son, the brothers that hate one another, desire, anger, arrogance and greed. As long as there is a mind of all these things within the human being, forget about it. There is only one way. If you make the effort to accept that thing which is already present within you. Yesterday I was telling this gentleman this one thing which I have said many times. I should not have to come here today. I am saying this. I shouldn't have had to come here today and what I am speaking to you about, standing here speaking to you, I shouldn't be speaking about that either. When I travel around the world I shouldn't be doing that either because everyone should know this already that peace is within you and without peace this life will be filled with difficulties upon difficulties. No one should be there speaking to people about this. It's kind of like saying the sun is up. Does anyone need to tell you that? No. As soon as the sun shines and it's natural in the same way this too is natural that peace is within you and you can experience it in your life. Without seeing without recognizing and experiencing what's the benefit of repeating words? Because if that was true then by chanting the word money, money, money nobody would be poor. There are many people that stand up and say peace, peace, peace, peace. I ask you one question. How many years has this been going on? Has peace come? It's kind of like that scooter. No, it will not happen like that.

There are so many people everyone's got their ideas I'll bring peace, I'll bring peace, I'll bring peace I do not say that I will bring peace because I know that by me eating your hunger will not be satisfied. If your hunger needs to be satisfied you will need to eat. Then peace can be established. If we want peace then every single human being needs to take part in that. One person cannot do it alone and the one that says he can has no idea how to do it. Think about it. I was 9 years old only 9 years old when I took on this responsibility. Think about it. All these intellectuals would come and speak to me who were 3 times, 4 times 5 times older than me they used to come and speak to me.

I had not read any scriptures I had not read any scriptures I had not gone on any pilgrimages a 9 year old child fasting even when people would be fasting in the house I would still get my food. Everyone knew this is a child what would happen to him? Exemption. Since then I have understood one thing whatever you need to say speak from your heart not from here if you speak from here there will be an argument that's its job to argue what else is it going to do? just argue and I know very well from my experience that if you argue you will lose and for a 9 year old they have that competitive feeling that they want to win so if you want to win don't argue speak from your heart and bring forth what is in your heart this is what I take around the world the message from my heart what? that one truth that which you are looking for is within you people say whatever you are saying others are saying that too so what's the difference? there is a difference I don't just speak about it if you want peace if you want to experience peace in your life then I can make that possible for you that's the difference that's the difference and it is a very simple thing the first thing is if you don't speak because people say if it's such a great thing, give it to me, what is it? if it was something in my pocket I would take it out and give it to you but the problem is the thing that you are looking for is already within you now how can I take something out of my pocket and give it to you? this thing that you are looking for you already have you just don't know it it's like the musk deer searching for the musk throughout the jungle in the same way you have that eternal within you but you are looking for it everywhere else you are that musk deer the musk deer has the fragrance of the musk in its own navel but it searches throughout the jungle in the same way that creator is within you and you are searching everywhere else what can I give you? that face that you want to look at you already have you don't need a face.

People search and I ask them, what are you looking for? I am looking for peace it's kind of like somebody comes to you what are you looking for? I am looking for my face your face is in front of you but there is one thing with these eyes you can see the world but you cannot see your own face for that you need a mirror that's all don't look for the face don't look for peace don't look for that immortal all those things are already within you and realize this feel this that you are this human being you are a human being and peace is that foundation that you have whatever storms may come your way to be protected from those storms your foundation needs to be strong and it will only be strong when you feel that peace in your heart and move forward look our culture our society is not an easy society the father says to the child son study study with all your heart make that effort son so that when you grow up you will become a great man a great man not a small man, a great man think about it if the father says to his son son you will do a lot in your life you will do a lot in your life you will make friends you will break friendships you will go to so many places to visit you will buy many things you will do a lot in your life but with doing all those things son do one more thing too in your life establish peace for sure how do you like that has your father ever said that to you and all the fathers that are sitting here have you ever said that to your children son definitely find peace son daughter without peace you won't have fun in this life you won't feel the joy in this life you won't understand the true meaning of this life has anyone ever said that today this event is happening so many people have gathered here what do you think will happen here tomorrow and where will all of you be and where will all of you be tomorrow everything will return to normal tomorrow everything will return to normal and what will that normal be peace desires anger arrogance greed normal this is normal peace has become abnormal what is needed is that peace should be normal and desire, anger, greed and arrogance should be abnormal

That's why God didn't put any hair on our forehead left it bare so that you could hit yourself on the head that's the human condition there are great people intellectuals Kabir Das said this and that was his habit of speaking he would say things that everyone would not like that whether a scholar and whether a fool both are the same both are the same in conclusion what I'd like to say is if you want to establish peace on this earth then first establish peace in your own little world if there is unrest in this world the reason is not anything else what is the reason? we are the reason all of us all of us all the Indians all the Americans all the Canadians all the Australians 7 billion people are here on this planet it is every single human being's responsibility everyone it's not like you eat or let's elect one person from everyone who can eat for all of us why do we want to waste our time eating food? when you are hungry then none of this works there are people so what will you do for peace? we will light a lamp if you are hungry you go home you ask your wife is the food ready? just light a lamp she says what is the behavior in your family? for two minutes do you sit down with your children? do you listen to their lecture? or do you only give your lecture? it's a very serious matter son speak today it's your turn what makes you happy? what makes you unhappy? speak Valentine's Day is coming up I don't understand it to love just for one day? just one day? no if you love someone if you are going to love then all day every day not just one day just one day? if you eat for just one day will that be fine? will that be enough? if you sleep a lot one night and then you won't have to sleep again people get married with a lot of joy have the band and the musicians invite everybody there's good food served they do everything and if Valentine's Day comes and you don't send the flowers or chocolates then you'll be in trouble right?

Have you ever sat down for a couple of minutes and spoken with each other? talk to me are you happy? the ears have already lost the capacity to listen the ears have already lost the capacity to listen these are little things understand it what are you doing in your life? the entire system has made everyone like that ox that all day long goes around and around and around what can it do? the way the ox is tied even if it runs it will still run in that circle even if the ox decides one day I don't like any of this I'm leaving and it starts to run really fast it's still going to just go in circles and actually the owner of that ox will benefit even more so the time is now and these things should not be put off when a person feels in their life that peace is within me and I'm also a participant in the unrest so it is my responsibility to do something then certainly peace will be possible you've been asked this do you think peace is possible? and all of you said yes, it is with lots of enthusiasm well do you understand the responsibility that comes with it as well? take action upon it understand it understand that you are a participant and the time is now this is the time if we make that decision then truly peace is possible in this world and in each human being's heart so many people have taken this idea and screamed and yelled about it but now the time has come for this idea and the people are there right? and they say to me do something, you do something should I eat for you? should I sleep for you? no

If there is something in me then it is that I can go to human beings and awaken that feeling in everyone that peace is necessary and that's what I'm doing since I was nine. I was only nine years old and I will continue as long as there is life in me. So thank you all so much for coming and truly what a wonderful thing it is to see all of you here and to know that you are all interested in peace thank you ladies and gentlemen thank you so much for being here.

I'd like to thank our partners, Mr. Prem Rawat, our friends from the media, our volunteers, our speakers and all of you Thank you for coming and making our event possible I'd like to also add that this is just the beginning it was an amazing experience having so many youth around me being surrounded by so many youth and realizing that even today youth are interested in such a kind of message and they are still craving for peace today I heard him for the first time it was amazing it's gonna go very far it's already at a certain level so it felt very nice hearing him today the best part was to consider my family, my kids, my wife the way he gave the examples the peace has to start from within I'm really happy that somebody is thinking about this and somebody is working in that direction peace is within us and I will try to change myself the 2nd of February was definitely a historic event that even the youngsters are thinking of peace that is what we've gotten to witness here that the youngsters here are not just here to listen but they had this desire that they could understand the meaning of peace and having understood that meaning of peace they can say, yes, peace is possible
