Prem Rawat in Los Angeles, 2011-08-05
By 2011 Prem Rawat had left his Maharaji persona behind and was settling into being just Prem Rawat. Same person, different name, Guru Maharaj Ji, same person, just younger. He was releasing his speeches under the Words of Peace banner.
Prem Rawat in Los Angeles, 5th August 2011
It's good to be here to see you all. I'm glad you could make it. So you have come to see me and I guess I've come to see you. And technically this is anniversary celebration and I say that technically because the dates are gone for those. But the main thing truly is all those years ago, and I was thinking about it, not only 45 years ago I took on this responsibility. But what was that responsibility? And then 40 years ago I left India and what was the choice that was made? So in Europe, here, celebrate, celebrate, celebrate. But what do we really celebrate? What do we really, really celebrate? So that's what I'd like to talk about. Because to me that's why you're here. That's why I am here. I didn't leave India so that 45 years later we could celebrate this, you know, or 40 years later we could celebrate this in Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. I know it's a good plan. It wasn't about that. In fact, when I left there was only one thing that was certain and that was that everything was uncertain. You had no idea what was going to happen. Nobody could prepare you. You land in England and I remember, you know, they had a Rolls Royce and it was like, wow, this is great to have a Rolls Royce. We were brought to this apartment or this English house, you know, it's a narrow little place. And it was pretty nice. It was quite luxurious. It's like, hey, this isn't bad. So I got ready and it was like, okay, let's go for a drive in the Rolls Royce, you know, check out London. It's gone. What do you mean it's gone? Oh, we just rented it for you to come here and that was it. And, of course, a week later it was we have to move out of this house.
So why? We only rented it for a week. So the uncertainties were, well, who's going to come? Who's going to listen? Where are we going to go? How is this going to work? It was all uncharted territories. But this message is about each one of the fields that every human being is. What makes desert a desert? What makes it a desert? Do you know that North Africa, the Sahara Desert, there's actually a kind of a quizzy joke about that, that there's so much sand in the Sahara Desert that if you spread it all out it would cover all of North Africa. Well, that is all of North Africa. But was it always like that? No, it wasn't. It was deep, lush forest, incredibly productive, lots of tribes, lot of cultures, lot of civilization that actually existed in that whole region where people fear to tread now because it is a desert. And in fact, there was a change in the currents, in the ocean, which turned North Africa into a desert. And when it became a desert, people started to migrate. I mean, they had to go somewhere. They couldn't exist there. There were no more rivers. There was nothing. So they finally linked up with Nile, which ended up giving birth to the Egyptian civilization. They were the ones who figured out the pyramids. They were the ones who built all these things. They were the ones, you know, it was quite an empire. And today you look at it, I have flown over it many times, and it is desolate. You fly for hours and you won't see a tree. There are cities. And I was actually, I landed once in Taman Rassat, which is in Algeria. And I'm flying and the controller is saying, can you see the city? And I was like, what city? And I'm looking out the window, looking down below, and there is no city. I can't see a city. But once upon a time, that was not the case.
So it apparently is that if it rains, and it rains, and it rains, and it rains, and it rains, and it rains frequently, that the desert will not be a desert. But regardless of how fertile it is, if the rain ceases, if the access to water stops, it will become a desert. That's the rule. And why am I telling you all this? Are we going to North Africa? Probably not. But we too are a field. And that same rule applies to us. That if there isn't the rain of understanding on this field frequently, not occasionally, that's the key. When it just does it once in a whole year, it's going to be a desert. But unless there is that rain of understanding frequently in our lives, this field will not become green. It will not be productive. If there isn't the rain of gratitude on this field, it will remain a desert. If there isn't the rain of that deep, beautiful experience of being alive, then this field will remain a desert. And this fundamentally is the biggest human conflict that a person will face within themselves. Why? Because the potential is there and it is not being realized. Why? Because you know this field should be anything but a desert. Because you know, because you know that it has the potential to be the most beautiful, green, dense forest. Thriving. Thriving. So people talk about conflicts. These days, people move their mouths, words come out, and nobody even understands what they're talking about. From A to Z, nobody knows. They say, God? I haven't got a clue. I haven't got a clue. Do we not in our lives say, well, how do I want it to be? Before you ever say that, first understand how it is.
Because if you understand how it is, and truly understand how it is, I can guarantee you one thing. You wouldn't want it to be any different. No. It's perfect. Perfect. So then people say, well, then what is all this? Why do I feel pain? And why do I feel suffering? And why do I? Because it's perfect. Because you've got your foot stuck in the wrong place. And that's why it hurts. Because it's perfect. It says, this is wrong. This is not how it's supposed to be. Because it is perfect. There's pain. Can you imagine if there was none? The amount of trouble you would be in and not know it? Not have one single clue that you've just chopped off your finger along with the okra? And if the tomato sauce seems specially red, it's not because of the tomatoes. Because it is perfect. And joy from the heart. Perfect. Because it is perfect. When there is that feeling, when there is that contentment, when you are out there getting drenched in that rain, absolutely everything begins to dance. When that rain starts to happen, everything begins a dance. And at first, that dance is nothing but silence. And there are the birds going at it. And when it begins to rain, dead silent, waiting for the miracle. Courtesy.
Because the miracle is about to begin. And then, one drop, another drop, another drop, another drop, another drop, another drop. And only a human being would say, well, this is so unconsequential. My God, when is this river going to flow? When is this river going to flow? You know how stupid some people are? Year after year, every time the rainy season starts, they try to drive through the dry riverbeds. Because everything just comes in a drop, right? How powerful could that be? And the next thing you know, oh, people have their logic. Oh, but I'm in a bus. I'm in a truck. This is so big. I mean, ha, water? That's not going to touch it. It'll be fine. Oh yeah? Next thing you know, being swept away. You see the faces of people. And I was watching that on the news, and you see the faces of these people, and they're hanging by a limb, you know, to this tree. And their whole body is just like buffeting in the water. And you look at their face, and they get it. I mean, it's like, oh my God. They get it. Instead of having the respect. But what that drop means? Oh, that drop is not a drop. Don't you understand? Do you know where it came from? Do you have any idea where it came from? It came born of the mighty ocean. And what is it, the power of that ocean? Do you know? You just heard not too long ago what happened in Japan. Tragedy. And what is the tragedy? Do you know that somebody actually placed a rock a long time ago? Carved. And that rock was, do not build below this.
What does that mean to you? You've heard of charitable work, right? Humanitarian work, right? Good deeds, right? Good causes, right? That one takes the award for me. This person is not doing for any specific person. Whoever, whoever can see, heed, and acknowledge this, do not build below this. Ah, so sweet. So kind. So benevolent. So gracious. Do not build below this. Did people build below that? Of course people build below that. Why? We're okay. We're okay. We'll be okay. We'll be fine. Not in front of some of these powers. It doesn't matter. And from that ocean is born a drop, a vapor, condensing into the drop in the heavens, in the sky, with the might, unbelievable, a thunderstorm. And then traveling miles and miles and miles and miles, and guess for whom? For you. Because you cannot live off the salt water, you need fresh water, and here the courtesy is for you. But we fail to acknowledge, we fail to see, we fail to understand what that power is. We fail to understand what that means when this breath comes into us, till it is too late. Then we get it. Then it's like, oh wow, he was right. It's not a matter of being right or wrong. You think this is a contest? Do you think this is a contest? The only difference between a master and somebody carving out that rock is just this, that the Master, with a little drum in his hand, goes village to village, and anyone he finds on the way from village to village.
And he says, do not build below this point. He tells you, do not build below this point. Somebody puts it in a rock, fine. But not everybody knows how to read. Not everybody is going to understand. And not everybody is going to heed. And you certainly cannot ask the rock the question, why? Why? Why shouldn't we build below this point? Tsunami? Why do you need to be focused in your life? Why do you need that rain in your life? Why do you need to have this desert turn green in your life? Because one day it will be all over. This is the law. It's the rule. It's perfect. A lot of people are not into recycling. Nature decided a long time ago, yeah, we're going to recycle everything. Water gets recycled. Air gets recycled. Plants get recycled. Bodies, either animal or not. Everybody gets recycled. Perfect. Perfect. But if people want to come back again, absolutely you get to. As a what, you don't get to decide. Could be a grape. Could be an eggplant. Could be milk.
Could be yogurt. Could be a bark. It's all recycled. And then people go, wait a minute. That's not right. I don't want to be recycled. I want to maintain me. And there's only one person who can ask you this one question. Why? Why? Why? Have you got an answer? It better be a little better than I love myself. I think I'm the greatest thing since the big collision. The entire purpose of the big collision, the big bang really was so that I could be here. And therefore, you know, I just want to be me. No. You couldn't even make a piece of field this big, Brie. And when you tried, it had bloody patches in it all over the place. Ah, this is okay, but this needs a little work and that I don't know about and ta-ta-ta-ta-ta. Not too long ago, just a few weeks ago, I was doing an event. And somebody asked me, you know, you say, know thyself. But wouldn't that be scary to know yourself? Like I said, you can't even make a patch this big, Green. Because you have no idea. You have no idea. You have fear of knowing yourself. This is how well you did. You, and then another person asked me, but what about ego? You know, we're very proud of what we do.
That's exactly what you shouldn't have an ego about. Because sooner or later, it's a matter of playing Russian roulette. Sooner or later, you are going to screw up. It's just a matter of time. It's a question of when. What you should be proud of is being alive. I'm alive. I'm alive. You are alive. This is what you should be proud of. That the breath came into you. Wow. Wow. What a incredible, unbelievable miracle. But are you? You prefer freak shows. Freak shows. Absolutely freaky freak shows. You call those miracle. Absurd. A statue gives out water and you go, wow, that's a miracle. That's not what's supposed to happen. Split the rock, find out where the hose is. I mean, this isn't right. You know.
Who's doing this? Stop it. You're breaking every rule in the book. But here's a rule that is not broken, and it is a rule, and aren't you glad that it is thus? Because it is perfect. But that whilst you're alive, this breath comes into you. That when you exist, you can feel, you can understand, you can grow. This is making your desert green. This is where the miracle of miracle takes place. This is the miracle. There cannot be a bigger miracle than this, that the breath comes into you. That this incredibly powerful force called life, life has chosen you to dwell in. Now, oh, I'm old. Oh, I'm young. Oh, I am this. Oh, I am that. Now they have a new commercial. Smooth is the new young. It's a makeup. You put it on you and you look really smooth and you're young. And how many people do you think are going to walk into stores and buy that? And look in the mirror and say, now do I look young? Your spine is being held together by glue. You actually make noise when you walk. And you want to be young. And you want to smear something on your face and that's what's going to make you young. You don't understand what young is. There's only one thing that can be young and it stays young forever.
And that is inside of you. You're trying to preserve what is unpreservable. No. It's destiny is to get recycled. See, the word green has just come about. Nature has been green all this time. And it doesn't care. So, you want to be young? Turn within. You're ageless. Be a part of that which is ageless. Because this is how it really works. You have to pay attention to the company you keep. If you keep the company of the mortal, you too will be mortal. But if you keep the company of the infinite, it just rubs off. You too will understand what that infinity is. And you will respect that in yourself, in your being. And you will understand what must go and what you get to keep. And you will know. This is what knowing is. This is what knowing is. You think enlightenment is some silly thing that you will know about what's going to happen tomorrow. But it is. But it isn't. Enlightenment is knowing that something that is inside of you will be there tomorrow.
Because it was, is, and will be. Always. But whether you will win a lottery, whether you will lose your shoe, whether you will cough, whether you will be around tomorrow, this you don't know. Perfect. It's perfect. Can you imagine if we were born with an expiration date? We wouldn't have these companies out there that match you up. You know, they say, and we match you up on 16 different levels. No, then there would be only one level. How much time he got, how much time she got. Because there's an expiration date. And let me look at the bottom of your foot, what does it say? Ah, good. You can be miserable for, you know, whatever. Together. But isn't it for good and for worse? For rich or for poor? Yeah, you know. And people go, yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely. And one little worse, and poof. Gone. And good, I think it could have been better with that person. That's your good. See, this is what I was saying, wasn't I? People say all these things, but they don't understand it. Do they? As God is your witness. Yeah, he's dropped everything. At this moment, God's got his 16 by 9 HD TV on, and he's glued to this, and he's just like, yeah, I got to bear witness to this. People open their mouths to pray.
They got Santa Claus mixed up with God. Completely, completely. You know, that's how you all, a lot of you grew up, Santa Claus. Oh, Santa, please bring me, you know, the bicycle. I will be so good. And when you grow up, you just change the name of Santa Claus to God. Can I have my Harley? And I will be so good. You know, I mean, can you imagine? The hardest prayer people probably ever say is after they've bought a lottery ticket. Oh, God, please. Yeah, because we say, but you don't understand what it means. The prayer, in my humble opinion, to God would sound something like this. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. That's it. That would be the prayer. A heart filled with gratitude. What is a heart filled with gratitude? Let me tell you what a heart filled with gratitude is. It is those trees. Not a desert. No, no. It is the rustling of the leaves in the air.
Have you heard that? Have you ever heard rustling of the leaves in the air? Because they are there. And as the wind comes, each one of the leaves is dancing in that wind. That's gratitude. Because it's not a desert. What? What have we made in our lives? Whenever the wind comes, tumbleweeds blow. That's not life. We judge. We judge. And we judge. And we judge. And we judge. It's a good thing that judgment, you know, doesn't shorten our lives. Because you'd be dead by the time you left your block, you know, from your house. One block. You'd never make it anywhere. That's all we do. Judge. Judge. Judge. Judge. Judge. And those people who say, I don't judge, judge the most. Today, coming here, I saw this guy. And he's sitting on the side of the road.
And he's basically out. And my, you know, he was right there. Like, my God, you know, what's going on over there? And then I saw a bottle or a glass of alcohol next to him. And he was an alcoholic, passed out, because he was inebriated. So I'm like, he's inebriated. And I looked up. And there was this person. And they had this sweater on and their iPod in their ears. And they were texting. And they were listening. And they were inebriated. And then I looked. And wherever I looked, I could see that people were inebriated with something else. And then I realized that those who are completely lost in the thought of the divine are also inebriated. So I realized that everybody is inebriated. Just depends on what. And if you are inebriated because you have experienced joy, then I wish you'd never become sober. If you are inebriated because you understood the preciousness of this breath, and this has overwhelmed you so, then I wish you'd never become sober. Stay in that inebriation of clarity. One inebriation has made this person totally unconscious. And the next question is, being in this world, are you conscious too? Because if you are not, there is no difference. And if you are inebriated in the consciousness of being alive, of being fulfilled, then let it happen. Let it come. Let this desert be green.
Let the leaves rustle. How beautiful. How sweet. Let this heart be filled with gratitude. Let the rivers come. Let the rivers flow. And again, and again, every day, indeed every hour, every minute if possible, let this desert, let this desert be green. Because it will be. All it is missing is the rain. Forty years ago, that's what I came to tell you. And people challenged every part of it. How can it be? How can this be? You see, Knowledge is so beautiful. And its beauty is not in itself. It's what it does. That's why it's beautiful. It breaks down the biggest frontier and obstacle that there is. I mean, you have to appreciate one thing. The obstacle that I'm talking about is huge. And it is between, naturally, the infinite and the finite. Can you imagine the chasm that exists between the infinite and the finite? It's an absolute wall. Two shall never meet. Cannot, shall not, will not. And that is why Knowledge is so incredible. Because it's the only thing that connects the two.
Makes the impossible possible. For that moment that you go inside and you feel, you know what you're feeling? That is nothing trivial. That is the feeling of the feeling of the infinite. And you will never be able to ever explain it here. And because everything is perfect, and this isn't, but it's a perfect plan, you have been given something that will bear witness to it. And you know what I'm talking about. It is your heart that will bear witness to that happening. And it will be fulfilled. So you see, it is perfect after all. This won't be able to get it. I mean, why have two things that are so incredibly important in the same vessel? Right? And haven't you heard the tug of war between the mind and the heart? See, it's perfect. The heart does what the mind cannot do. Now I know you're sitting there waiting for me to say, and the mind does what the heart cannot do. And if that's what was going in your head, you're absolutely right. There is no way the heart can land you in so much trouble as the mind. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. The heart is true. It doesn't care. It does not get delighted in your success or your failure. It doesn't care. Because to it, it's an illusion. Your success was an illusion.
Your failure is an illusion. You have neither failed, nor did you succeed, but you thought you did. You merely took your hand, put it on a picture of a fire, and you said, now I have conquered fire. I mean, if you did that, right? Put your hand on a picture of a fire and say, look, I didn't get burnt. Would you be harming anybody? No. Big deal, little deal, small deal, this deal, that deal, I have succeeded, I am a success. And the heart says, what? Success at what? And then you go, oh my God, I failed, I am a failure. And the heart says, at what? The mind goes, no, no, you definitely, you definitely have failed. It's also the one that comes along and says, oh, you have definitely succeeded. Ego. Ego, ego. How far do you think ego goes and how far do you think humility goes? I mean, we're just talking about, you know, shelf life here. You know, I know, everybody knows, ego doesn't go very far. Humility has an incredible shelf life. Almost as long as you will be on the face of this earth. That's pretty good. Lifetime. But is that what people do? No clue. No clue how to be humble. And for a lot of people, is that an Eastern thing? What do you think? How many times have you eaten crow? Is it Eastern? Crow's Eastern? How many times have you had to have humble pie? Is that Eastern? Are pies Eastern? You know, it doesn't work like that. People come to me and say, Maraji, you know, we want your blessings. And I'm like, no, you don't. Right now you are receiving the blessings of the infinite. Don't change the equation.
You don't want my blessings. My blessings you have. This is the blessings that I can give you, is to remind you again and again in your life of what is important to you. This is the only blessing I can give you. And yes, that you make your garden green is the blessing you can give to yourself. But number one, it's the blessing of the infinite. You forget. You forget. Because in this ladder of going up and down, up and down like a monkey. Well, after all, we are. Derivatives. Not even true monkey. Derivatives of monkey. That's why we still have that little tail part left. That's when we used to have a tail. Still there at the bottom of the spine. It's totally useless. It doesn't do anything. Causes us a lot of problems. Every time we sit on him, it bends the wrong way and does all these things. But there it is. Just to remind us, you are still a monkey. And look at your behavior. What is your behavior like? I mean, there you are sitting.
People love to sit down at cafes and watch other people. Monkeys, baboons have those big large teeth. And they look like they are yawning. No, no, no. They are not really yawning. They are just showing everybody their teeth. Let me ask you. How many of you here are infatuated with your teeth? You brush them and floss them. And when you lose one, you get a replacement for it. So that other people can see your teeth. And when you get upset with somebody, doesn't your volume automatically go higher and higher and higher? Like screechy, like a monkey. And when it gets really, really, really, really bad, don't you just start doing the same thing? This is all monkey traits. How many of you are attracted to shiny things? Monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey. How many of you overplate your plate when you go to buffets? Monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey. What is right? What is wrong? This is what you are obsessed with. But you don't know what is right. There was a couple. Older couple. And the man, all his life, he hadn't paid attention to himself. He ate whatever he felt like and so on. His wife really wanted both of them to live really long. So she really pushed him to have a good diet, exercise and everything. So pushed him, pushed him, pushed him, pushed him. And the next thing you know, he started eating healthy and had a good diet and started exercising and so on.
And they lived a long time, long time, long time. Well into their late 90s. And then they died. They went to heaven. And Peter was there, greeted them. Come on in. I'll be happy to show you around. And they're like, wow, we're in heaven. And Peter says, okay, let's go check out your house. And he takes them to this unbelievably gorgeous house. Floor to ceiling windows, air-conditioned, the finest marble you can imagine. Beautiful hand-carved wood frames. Unbelievable. Most incredible stereo system. All valves and tubes and horns everywhere. And they are like, oh my God, you know, isn't this a little too much for us? I mean, St. Peter says, no. This is what God wants you to have. You are in heaven. Now let me show you your kitchen. And he takes them to the kitchen and there it is, the most incredible granite Handmade pots and pans. And the refrigerator is full. And all these servants are lined up. And he says, and that's your cook. And that's your valet.
But, you know, we're just really a very simple couple. I mean, really? Isn't this too much for us? And he says, no. This is heaven. This is what God wants you to have. And he says, let me show you your pool. And there is this pool and it's, you know, got fresh water on one and salt water on the other. Jacuzzi. Unbelievable. Isn't this too much for us? No, God wants you to have this. And oh, by the way, you know, whatever you want to eat, just let your cook know. And he'll be happy to make it for you. Now come on, let me show you your bedroom. And he takes them to the bedroom. And there is this most incredible bed. And opens up the closet. And there is these incredible clothes in the closet. Beautiful silk and velvet. And he says, that's too much. I mean, we've never had this in our lives. Don't worry about it. This is what God wants you to have. You are in heaven. He says, let me show you your garage. Open up the garage and there is everything in there.
There's a Rolls Royce, there's a Bentley, there's a Mercedes. There's, I mean, there's motorcycles. Like, isn't this too much? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. This is what God wants you to have. This is heaven. And, you know, if you want to go down, there's a beautiful restaurant. In fact, let me take you there so he can show you. Takes them to the restaurant and says, you know, whatever you want to order, you can order. And St. Peter says, I'll see you later. And they're both like, wow. This is amazing. Goes to the restaurant and they order food. And this food just keeps coming and coming. The finest wines, the finest appetizers, the main course. And they're like, oh, my God, you know, we've never eaten like this. And is this okay? I mean, this is truly okay. And the waiter said, this is heaven. This is how God wants you to be. This is how he wants you to live. So they have dinner. And he's sitting there. Thinking. And he looks at his wife. And he goes, you are a idiot.
And she goes, what? Why am I an idiot? Well, if you wouldn't have pushed your health thing so much, we could have been here 10 years ago. So. Good? Bad? In all this world, this is all good, bad, good, bad, right, wrong, right, wrong, good, bad, good. It's like marching. Good, bad, right, wrong, good, bad, right, wrong, good, bad, right, wrong. How prepared are you in your life? I ask you a very simple question. If one day you heard a knock on the door, you open the door, there's a person standing outside saying, hello. I'm God. What would you do? What would you do? Huh? Hug him. No thank you, no nothing, just. And what makes you think God wants to be hugged? You do. You need the support. You need that feeling of comfort and why do you think God wants to be hugged? So what would you do? And would you hug God knowing that's God? And how would you do that? How would you know? How would you know? How would you know that that was God? Interesting question, huh? Because my point is, my point is, you wouldn't really know. And the reason is because that God is already inside of you. 24-7. Doesn't have to knock any doors. Right? Hug? Can't. Can't hug that one. Can't kiss that one. But that one is there. This is the problem with the world. We're so caught up in our concepts that we fail to see the obvious. Fail to see the obvious. 24-7.
And for how long? You don't ever have to worry about that God leaving. Because when that God leaves, so will you. Recycle bin, here you come. Remember I told you it's perfect? It is. You seek companionship, don't you? Oh, I feel so lonely. Only if you knew. Only if you knew. You couldn't be alone if you wanted to. You cannot be alone. Remember I told you it was perfect? It is. Never. Never. Have to be alone. So then people say, Can I understand all this? Never. Can you feel all this? Every day. Every day. See, I brought you rain. I brought you rain. I brought you rain. Not just once. Because I know that will not turn your desert green. I brought you rain. Every day. Every day.
Once a day. Twice a day. Every day. How long you want it to rain, it's up to you. But I brought you rain, so your desert does not need to be a desert. This field can be that beautiful, beautiful, beautiful forest. This, this is it. This is it. This is the story that unfolds in one heart and another and another and another life and another life and this is where the gratitude comes from and this is why I came to the West 40 years ago. This is what my father had said. He will take the rain to the world. And this is what I've been doing. And a lot of people is like, well, what's happening these days? I see a lot of old timers, so I don't know if you've been in touch or not, but you know, there's been amazing things that are happening. Since WOPG TV, Words of Peace Global TV came out, there's virtually millions of people who are watching this and enjoying it. And it's crossing international boundaries, every corner of the world. Do you know that even as the war broke out in Côte d'Ivoire, because of this Knowledge, lives were being transformed for the better. That's, that's what's been going on. That's what's been going on. For a long, long, long time. And I said, old timers, do you know, I am so privileged to see the same enthusiasm when I first came to Los Angeles, when I first came to England. That's all we had. We didn't have money. And we didn't have the know-how. We didn't.
But we had enthusiasm. It's been 40 years. We still don't have the money. And we still don't have the know-how. But boy, we have the enthusiasm. Yes. And, it's wild. It's still wild. And it always, in a way, will be wild. Because how could you tame the bringing of the rain? Even the skies give up their blue color. Lightning and thunder happens. And then it's a roar. It's a roar. And whoever gets touched by this rain is never the same again. So, we need to celebrate every day. And that's what Knowledge is all about, to celebrate every day. Celebrate being alive several days. Celebrate being here. Because it's not going to happen again. You know? I know there are people like, well, that's so negative. Listen. Have you ever flown a kite? If you have ever flown a kite, you cannot tell the kite, I think you should fly that away. That is determined by the wind. And the wind better be coming from your back, not from the front.
It is not about your wish, because it is perfect. And that's what enlightenment is, to understand the perfectness of it. So beautiful. It's not one day that you get. It's not two days that you get. You get it again, fill, fill, fill, fill. These are the possibilities. These are the things. That's why you came to me. That's why you came to me. Boy, do people have concepts. About everything. From what is a perfect wife, to what is a perfect baby, what is a perfect husband, to what is a perfect tree, to what is a perfect blade of grass, to what is a perfect date, to what is a perfect food, to what is a perfect life. Everything. And is there anything wrong with the concepts? Only one. It hides the reality. If it didn't hide the reality, have as many as you want. It hides the reality. There is a reality that is more beautiful than anything you could ever conceive of. Isn't that what I used to say? You can't think about this. You can't come up with it. You can't have it. What do we used to call it? A mind-blowing experience. Right? So, I'm glad you came.
And I'm glad that you came because of your heart, because it is your heart that brought you here. You know, I always tell people that coming to an event is an act of passion. It is not a logical thought. It really isn't. It is an act of passion. So, wherever you have been, whatever you have been doing whatever rut and routine you have been in, it doesn't matter how many disappointments you have gone through, you're here. Let it go. Relax. For a few hours, just enjoy the company of this heart. The company of the infinite. And feel that gratitude. And feel that joy in your life. So, thank you very much and good night.
