Glastonbury Festival 1973: Passages Video 2001

The Passages video produced in 2001 was created to refute some of the criticisms of Prem Rawat or Maharaji that were being aired on the internet. It contains scenes of some of his most loyal, long term followers providing a revisionist history of the Divine Light Mission years. They mainly argue the incredible position that it was the Western followers themselves who mistakenly associated Hindu religious and cultural traditions with Maharaji's Knowledge and were taught false ideas and practices by Maharaji's family members, concepts that the young Perfect Master, Lord of the Universe and guru, did not, Himself, share. Some clips of Rawat's speech at Glastonbury 1971 were included as part of an upbeat nnd idealised view of Divine Light Mission's early days.

Maharaji gave his first public address in the West at the Conway Hall in London on the 19th June. He also spoke at a large rock festival at Glastonbury in the south-west of England.

"Because I have got that Knowledge, I have got that Knowledge, I have got that thing and I can say you all that I can help mankind and everybody of you by giving that Knowledge."
