For the first 20 years of his career Prem Rawat (Maharaji) was known as the Perfect Master or its Hindi equivalent, Guru Maharaj Ji. Prem taught that the Perfect Master, the Incarnation of God, had manifested in a human body since time immemorial and that He was that Being and had come again.
