Intelligent Existence, The Three Principles 2022-08-28

If there were three principles spoken of in this 40 minutes of talk from Prem Rawat's Long Term Mistress and Intelligent Existence executive, I could not discern them.

Intelligent Existence, The Three Principles, 28th August 2022

To be on this beautiful earth, to be alive, to have this time in which, if nothing else, we can fill our hearts with good memories, with beautiful things. And maybe that's something that we find impossible to do. Many, many times I have quoted from different scriptures and different writings and different people. And then I started thinking about it, and it was like, "Well, yeah, these people said some incredible things," like Socrates said, "Know Thy Self." That could really come in handy right now. And there are so many beautiful things that have been said. And in fact, it wasn't like they have been said yesterday. They were said, and they were said thousands and thousands of years ago. But how come we have done nothing with them? Absolutely nothing.

We haven't taken it in. We haven't taken this opportunity and this incredible amount of wisdom, because I would say that on a scale of 1 to 10, the amount of wisdom that we have been given, wise sayings and incredible formulas, you know, do this, do this, know yourself, have your heart filled with gratitude, live this life consciously, seems to me an incredible opportunity that if we could deploy that wisdom, if we could use that wisdom, what would this world actually look like? All I can say is that all the explanations, all the descriptions of paradise, of heaven would fall short of what it could be. That we helping each other, that each one of us understanding and extending that empathy and that love and that kindness that only we as human beings can give out, put out, make possible.

And this is, in a way, the quandary. How do we take all that wisdom and bring it to bear now in our lives, in this moment? We don't really understand what it means. Know yourself.

Of course you know yourself. Your name is so-and-so. You work at this office and you have this, you know, this is your wife, this is your child, this is your job, this is your this, this is your that. You know yourself, right? But let me put know yourself in a context which will make sense to you. And the context is this. When your world is falling apart, when your world is falling apart, you need to know yourself.

When you have no longer any hope in your life, you need to know yourself. When you are frustrated with everything that is around you, you need to know yourself. When everything does not seem to be going your way, you need to know yourself. When everything seems like it has betrayed you, you need to know yourself. When you feel unfulfilled, you need to know yourself. When all you see is the darkness, you need to fulfill yourself. You need to know yourself. When all you see and feel on the outside is against you, you need to know yourself. When nothing makes sense anymore, you need to know yourself. When it seems like you have been cheated in life, all of a sudden you realize you don't have enough time left, you need to know yourself. When you think that that infinite does not listen to you, does not care about you, you need to know yourself. That's what need to know yourself means. Because when you do, you will then not live in fear anymore.

Fear? Do you live in fear? Okay, let's talk about that. One day, you wake up, you look around, your alarm is going off, and what comes into your mind? You need to get up, right? Why? There's something else that comes into the mind, "I better get up. Can't be late. Can't be late for my job. Can't be late for my bus. Can't be late for my taxi. Can't be late for my appointment." Fear. This is just getting up. Now, let's start. The fear. How far does this fear go? Is there an end to this fear? And what is the level of fear of a human being? Remember when you were young and you could put a monster in the closet when there was none? You could make the monster be in the closet. You could make the monster be under your bed, afraid. So, I ask you, what kind of life is a life that you live in fear? You all have ambitions. You have your dreams, and you're afraid they're not going to come true. Afraid. Fear. Fear. Fear of the devil. Fear of God. And then, before you know it, this life is finished. And you never really understood who you are. Never really understood what the story of you is all about.

The most powerful thing that there is, the manifestation of that infinite for you. The coming and going of this breath. The separator of the two walls. So far, it keeps coming. The two walls are split apart. And universe comes into existence for you. So far, that breath comes into you. You can look at the heavens and you can marvel at their wonders. You can hear, you can feel the rivers flowing. You can hear the thunder of the waves. You can hear the whistling of the wind. You can feel the warmth of the sun. You can hear the drop of that ice as it melts. The start of the mighty rivers. Everything. And that accompanies you, day and night, wherever you go. Without fail. Without fail. Day and night. Without question. It supports you. It supports you. It brings you this gift of life. Do you acknowledge it? Do you welcome it in your life?

In this world, anything can change. All that you think is good can become bad instantly. And all that you think is bad can become good instantly. It is entirely possible for your enemy to become your friend, and your friend to become your enemy. Now where do you think mostly all your enemies are going to come from? It's from the gene pool of friends that you create. It is not right for a total stranger to turn against you, or somebody who knows your insides and outs to turn against you. Life that you have, your existence, that's what it's all about. A lot of people are like, but isn't that a very egoistical way of looking at it? No, it is the humblest way of looking at it. Because you look at reality, reality is humble, and it is profound at the same time. As you look at the sun, you realize its beauty, you realize its power, you're humbled in front of it, and yet you're so glad it's there.

Things will change in your life, of course they will. Why? Because that's their nature. You try to hang on, it won't let you. But do you know, with all those changes, you can still be happy. This is what I mean by knowing yourself. When you know yourself, you can say, oh, by the way, all this can change, and I can still feel contentment. So, do you know what you need? Do you know what the difference is between a want and a need? Knowing yourself, that's what it's all about. You have a need, and it goes beyond what the demands and wants of this world are. And that need that you have is to feel fulfilled, feel content, feel real, feel the joy. And here's the good news, and here's the beautiful news. You can. Even in this most awkward of times, it is very possible, very possible, to feel content. This is what your heart wants. Time has come to listen, to listen to the heart.

It's not about this whole world, but it's about your world. It's not about the seven and a half billion people, but it's about this one person who makes up the one person in the seven and a half billion people. Because all those seven and a half billion people, one person, one person, one person. Seven and a half billion. Same aspirations, same wants, same needs, same map. Simple, profound. Now you tell me, how should your life be? Should we really be talking about contentment? Should we really be talking about clarity? Should we really be talking about being happy? Well, maybe not. Maybe we should be talking about more serious things. But then who is going to convince your heart, your heart, that you can live without clarity? That you can live without simplicity? That you can live in this paradox? Who? Who? Who? Who will convince? There's nothing practical anymore.

It's like, no, let's be realistic. Well, realistic what? What realism are you talking about? We have obligations in this world. Sure, go right ahead. What obligations? What obligations? And I was thinking about this. And I know a lot of people, and I love them. And then there will be a time when I have to go. I have to move on. And when I do, that's it. I will never meet those people again, ever. You will not be able to look in their eyes ever, ever, ever, ever again. You will never, ever, ever be able to say, hello, I love you, to them ever again. I want you to think about that. If you have family, I want you to think about that. Because this is your time to look them in the eyes and let them know how much you love them. It's so final, so incredibly final.

Those who you love need to know that you, you love them. To understand that, that this existence that you have, unquestionably requires that you live it every single day with consciousness. That's all. To get the most out of it, that's all you have to do. Just be conscious. That's all. It's so important, so important to remember what this is, this little story of yours. You need to make sure that it's a good, beautiful, if for no one else, at least. And I think that if more people can start to look at this, by of course beginning with yourself, not others, but yourself, that there would be a difference in your life. You live in this life consciously. You live in this life with contentment, with peace, with joy.

It's about you, me, my life, your life, our existence, understanding. And only then this heart will be full of gratitude. But there is a realization and an awareness of what this is that I am alive in. I know that sooner or later for a lot of people this happens when they're on their deathbed. Incredible epiphany. All of a sudden, oh my God, now I get it. My life. Then book.????? But that's cruel. That's incredibly cruel. And that's incredibly cruel to do that to yourself. Be in love.

Love with life. You don't have to love this and that and that and that. No. But love life. Your life. Whose life? Your life. Your existence. You being alive. That is the heart of a child. That is the eyes of a child. Are they not full of fascination? Of course. They're fascinated with the world. But at the same time, there's an understanding. And it begins in the morning. We all used to be like that and if we want to, we can be like that again. It's not too late. It's not too far.

Because those eyes of a child are still there. They just have had no one to look through them. For a long, long... The heart of a child is still there. Beating. Just need somebody to invite it so that this heart can beat once again. For them. To see. To be aware. Of this moment. Not the questions. But to be aware of the answers. Not the ideas that take you far from you. but the ideas that bring you back to you. Should you think, yeah, of course. Think of those thoughts of coming home to the self. And feel fulfilled. Not empty. Feel fulfilled. This is the possibility. Not getting lost, but making it easy for yourself every day to find you. Making it easy for yourself. To discover the permanent in this temporary world. Making it simple. Making it enjoyable. Making it real. Every single day. Don't be distracted. This is no time to get distracted. Pay attention. Pay attention to your existence. Pay attention to that infinite that is inside of you. Pay attention to being alive.

Have gratitude in your life. Some people will go, for what? I don't have this, I don't have this, I don't have this. Then concentrate on what you do have. What do you have? I'll tell you what you have. You have this breath. Most powerful. Most amazing thing there is. It comes into you and it fills you. And it brings you the gift of life. That's what life is all about. You. Dancing on the stage of life. You. Expressing. In your heart. The gratitude. Every day, every moment. That you're alive. Those three things that I talk about. Know yourself. Live your life consciously. And I have a heart. Filled with gratitude. This can be for you. Then you've made the choice. The right choice.

Will your story be written down? Probably not. Will there be a statue erected for you? Probably not. Will there be a big history about you? Will people remember you for the rest of your life? Probably not. People forget. But you would have known about the joy. About the peace. About the tranquility. You would have known. What it is like. To have peace. In this life. You would have known. What it is like. To feel freedom. When this heart is full of gratitude. You have then written a history about yourself. In your heart. Then your heart is full of gratitude. ou have written. Something. That will never, ever be erased. And nobody may know you. No one may know you. No one may know you. But you knew your self.
