3 August 2004
Dear
On behalf of the propagation team, you are invited to an introductory event of fun and inspiration.
An introductory event will be held at Fradgley Hall, Burleigh Heads Library, on Saturday, the 4th September for PWK, aspirants; and their guests. The event will be publicly advertised and it is hoped new people will respond and come as well. The event will start at 5.30pm and an exciting new format is planned, including live music, a beautiful new video; and food and wine, after the video, for those who want a bit of a night out as well. There will be a big banner up in the park at Justins Park, Burleigh Heads for two weeks, promoting the event. Let the world know!
Invitations
The Propagation-Invitation tool we used at the recent Hotel Watermark event was well received so we are using it again. New people came just from reading the invitation! PWK gave them to friends and we found leaving them in places such as health shops was a good strategy. One is enclosed for you to give to a friend. Would you like to distribute invitations?
If you need more to give to friends or would like to place invitations in appropriate retail outlets, such as health shops in your area, please contact us (see below) and we will send you more. Let us know the venue details so that your efforts are not duplicated. Or if you prefer, there are invitations available at the Information Table of the local events.
These New Initiatives on the Gold Coast will require Event Financial Support.
The banner:
Considerable excitement in community, re Burleigh event. Responding to this the propagation team plans to further the advertising of the event to the public. This will happen on the morning of the event with a distribution of flyers through out the immediate Burleigh area. L. D. will coordinate this and she is looking for young people to help. As there have been no young people on the Coast for SEVERAL DECADES now, she has invited B. S., and any friends he can muster to take part. He says he can, and has expressed interest in the relaxed format of the event being tried here. I told him we have been inspired by his and the other 'Yippies' efforts.
By the 22nd August they got together a list of places they could leave brochures and flyers: Health Food shops, Yoga places, Crystal shop, cool cafés. They hadn't yet realized they were seriously uncool.
