Dear

I have now taken on the role of financial resources person for the Gold Coast community, effective from March 2002.

I am sure you are aware of the great job J. H. has done over the past three years in this role. Under Joan's financial management we have consistently met both our local venue costs and our commitment towards the propagation fund. I have been told the Gold Coast has the best national record, in meeting its commitment towards the propagation fund, in Australia

Recently however a large increase in our venue costs occurred and the planning meeting decided that with all the changes, such as Direct Access, now affecting the contributions we receive, we could not continue to meet our costs and also contribute, as we have done, toward the propagation fund.

One result of our decision, has been the move from the Life Education Centre venue, to the Senior Citizens Centre. This has significantly reduced our costs. By good fortune it is also an excellent venue with a potential to enhance propagation on the Gold Coast.

From the March Financial Statement I have given you, you will see our current financial situation.

I will deliver statements each month with monthly statistics, to those people I understand would be interested in receiving them. Although we are operating in the black, you will see it is very marginal and I would like to, if I may, encourage five or six members of the community to be monthly contributors towards the Gold Coast finances.

If you are interested in helping please find an addressed envelope in which you can place a monthly contribution. You can post it either to myself or place the envelope in one of the venue's contribution baskets. Each month, if you wish, I can enclose an envelope with the monthly statement.

Cheques or Money Orders should be written to Elan Vital Gold Coast.

If you would prefer not to participate in this way, don't post or return the envelope and I will know that this is your decision. I will be delighted to continue to give you each month a financial statement along with the Gold Coast statistics.

J. S.
