Introducing the Possibility of Inviting Maharaji to the Gold Coast

All of us would love to invite Maharaji to our community and with that thought I wondered if it was a feasible possibility that we could make a reality.

Could we facilitate such an event if we were to invite him?

Do we want to?

Do we have enough expertise to handle such an event?

If we were to invite him we could not expect it to be just one of our regular programs. With 48 hours notice, Amaroo had 1100 people come to his last event so I imagine we could only expect the same amount of people to want to attend here if we were ever so lucky.

But the possibility of M wanting to come to us could be greater than we think if we do become leaders in propagation within Australia. He has made it no secret he goes where the aspirants are.

So just for a small excersise I made some inquiries about holding a sales seminar here on the Gold Coast with an international guest speaker.

The Gold Coast Arts Centre Theatre holds 1183 seats (800 downstairs and the rest upstairs) costs $2200 to hire for the day. A further $50 per hour is charged for electricity and air conditioning. There are also production costs for the lighting etc that would need to be discussed by the productions people. Box office ticketing is also available.

If we had a date it could be pencilled in but a contract has to be signed approximately 2 to 3 months in advance. Bookings are quite heavy, i.e.; no dates in November were available but the 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th of October were. Also 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th of April 2001 were. I just picked those months at random to see what the availability actually was.

The presidential suite in the Marriott costs $2400 per night for two people. The Marriott has a helicopter pad area access available next door if required with in house security. The hotel also has function room and a Ball room.

I also inquired just for the fun of it to see if charters were available where M could be taken to Tangalooma Island for the day to hand feed the wild dolphins that come in every night to be fed. I have done this a few times and it is pretty amazing. It can be arranged, at a price of course, if we wanted to.

I though I would forward this information on to you in the event that you may ever be asked if we have considered holding a program here.

Regards,
K.
