Durga Ji (Marolyn Rawat nee Johnson), London Guru Puja, June 24 1979
But look at this world. Is this world dying for Guru Maharaj Ji? But we're not together enough for Maharaj Ji to really manifest in this world. Because we're not ready. We're holding him back. He's having to wait for us. For each one of us.
One time in Malibu, Maharaj Ji said, "If I just had a handful, if I just had a handful of premies who were really dedicated, who really had faith in me, I could spread this Knowledge. I could spread this Knowledge so fast. If I just had a handful."
You know, I feel like we're wasting time. Wasting time. And it's not our time to waste. We waste it like crazy. Every second that we spend that's not in Holy Name is wasted and we'll never get it back. Never. And we know that. And we know that feeling of wasting time. Can't stand to waste time. And that's why we're so jumpy and that's why we're so edgy.

I want to ask the Pandits, these hypocrites, if they chant mantras while asleep. Guru Maharaj Ji has revealed to us the Holy Name, that is like air inside and outside of us. Now, Guru Maharaj Ji has dissolved himself in
the air. That Word, that Name disappears in the air and you bring that air into you when you breathe, waking or sleeping. …
All seers, all saints, all Masters have gotten peace by meditating upon the Holy Name. But I want to
ask the people of today why they do not want to worship God. It does not cost even a penny.
We have nothing else to know but one thing. Sit in a peaceful place and do meditation. Eat and meditate and listen to satsang. You cannot meditate when on one side the child is calling to you, "Mother, mother!" So we
should do meditation in a quiet place. You can get peace only through meditation.

Know Him, Know His Name. Even though God is One He pervades everywhere. So what is His real form? If you want to know His true Name and want to see His true form,
then take refuge in Guru Maharaj Ji. When you have this Knowledge, you will not need to know anything else. You will know why this human body has been given to you.
… Those who seek God will have to go to someone who already knows the true Name of God. So, leave your arrogance and indignation behind. …
And all the premies should practice meditation. Guru Nanak said, "Meditate upon the Holy Name yourself, and inspire others to meditate also. In this way, you will definitely attain liberation."

Soon I will leave my studies and spread the Holy Word of Guru Maharaj Ji throughout the world. How will the world not receive it? To every single child, I will reveal this Name.
I will give you such a thing, such a Name, that you have never received before in your life. But come to me. Why do you hesitate?
… if you sacrifice yourself now for the devotion of God, I say that people will spread out golden carpets for you.
It is time to awake and know the Word about which it is said, "The Word is the earth. The Word is the sky. There is but the Word; and all is enlightenment.
The whole universe is based on the Word. Nanak says the Word is in every heart. |

I will open that third eye which you require to be opened and you will see the Light, the same Divine Light. You will realize the same Word which the Bible, St. John,
has described. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." What was that Word? You will be able to realize that Word.
And so, I will finish off, and I have made some mistakes and I beg your pardon for them

The Knowledge is everywhere, the God is everywhere. We have to only discover the God. I won't make a God for you and show you the God.
Everybody wants perfect peace. A man who wants to realise that Holy Name, he will have to need a teacher for it, otherwise he can't hear it. …
And this Knowledge is so Holy, so Perfect that one spark that comes out of this Knowledge is so perfect, so, so perfect, wherever it goes it hits,
it makes it perfect and wherever it goes, again hits, it makes it perfect. Wherever just one spark of this Knowledge shines up, absolutely perfect. So that Knowledge I'm, I've got it here." …
This Knowledge, because it is a very sweet fruit, whoever takes a bite feels the sweet and wants to take it more and more. It's not a thing that I'm a spiritual master, I can preach the knowledge then
I should not retire. My soul is pure but not my body, it's a body same like you have got, I have got." - 197½

When they met Satguru, in a matter of only a couple of hours they got that God whom they never got for forty years. It was completed, it was done, it was finished; it was perfect in a couple of hours only.
So that is why there is a great, great need for Satguru to be in this world spreading the Holy Word of God. There it is written; Satguru is the bestower of Divine Light and practical knowledge of Holy Name. He bestows it, He gives it openheartedly. Here you may see His kindness, here you may realize His kindness, how kind He is towards the human being. Man, who has been performing sins throughout his life - since he was created - he had been performing sin and he was guilty of himself. Right? And for every sin he was doing, so many miles he was being separated from God. How kind Satguru is that in a matter of hours He removed all the sin and brought us to God. Just He revealed to us what God is.

Every Master has said that people should know the Holy Name. They advise everybody to become wise and to recognize how precious their life is. And that's what I am trying to make this world understand.
… It is said in the Vedas, the Indian scriptures, that when the dark age comes the only thing that can save man is constant meditation on the Holy Name.
It is said in the Vedas, the Indian scriptures, that when the dark age comes the only thing that can save man is constant meditation on the Holy Name. So we are so lucky to know that holy Word and to have got it at a
discount. I am prepared to reveal this Knowledge at any time so it is up to you to take this golden opportunity. If you don't seem to make progress with this Knowledge do not blame Guru Maharaj Ji. You have it in your power
to conquer the egos and doubts in the mind. These are the thorns, but the Knowledge is the rose.

John says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." There was a time in the beginning when sun was not there, moon was not there,
fire was not there, nothing was there. Only the Word existed, the Word of God, only primordial vibration, but from that came these five elements that have created this human form
- air, ether, water, and so on. And now the most interesting thing, the most interesting thing in this hall is, what is the Word? This Word cannot be spoken by these lips,
because these lips are finite. That Word has no beginning and has no end. It's the energy. It vibrates within all of us and due to that energy we all survive. …
God is subject to the Knowledge. To realize we need a third eye, we need this divine Word, we need this divine Knowledge. I am not talking about a word that I took out of my pocket,
or I am not talking about something which is unique and new, but I am talking about that thing that has been written about in the Bible, that has been written about in the Koran,
that has been written about in the Gita, in all the scriptures. This Word has been described. What is that holy breath that vibrates in us and makes us alive? What is that Word?

The idea should be brought out that people are not enemies, but are children of God. All have been made by God, and it's not good if a brother fights with a brother. You see, what I want to accomplish, or what I want to bring down onto the earth, is peace. That's my point, to give this Knowledge, this Word, this Light, which has been revealed by all the saints. …
The Satguru is also called the Perfect Master in scriptures. All the scriptures say the same thing in different ways. I haven't read the whole Bible, but I've been able to learn some parts of John, and he says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God." The same Word has been described in the Ramayana, in the Gita, in the Koran, and in all the scriptures, because it is Truth. The scriptures are all about one thing, and Truth is one. Once we have seen the Guru and have found that particular device with which we can cut through the thin membrane, it becomes very easy for us or for anyone to have God realization.

But Perfect Master is always with us. If Perfect Master is God - see, it says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word was made flesh. And the flesh was Jesus." And if it was the Word that always had existed, how could Jesus come, and how could Jesus go? He was there with them before, and he is with us now. Why are we waiting? Otherwise, he is not Perfect Master; he is not God. He cannot do anything to us, or if he does, and if he is perfect, he is with us, now, in our hearts. Because he's the Word. Because it says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh." And then the flesh was sent here to us. And if Jesus was the Word, then the Word was God. And God is everywhere at all times. He is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, and with us every moment, every second, of our life.
Then how can he come and how can he go? Can anyone explain to me? What we need of him is not the body. We need the Word of him. We need the Knowledge.
… we are waiting for God, but God is in our heart and we have to
realize him here, in our heart. He's everywhere. He's Omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent; and we have to realize
him. This is something I want to explain to people, that if you're waiting for Jesus, fine, you have to wait for him. But if
you are to realize him, realize him in your heart. Waiting for him is something else; realizing him is something else. If
you want to realize Jesus, if you want to really understand who Jesus is, which is, of course, not his body but he
himself, which is the Word.

Now I think that's the same exact position with the whole world today. The whole world wants peace. Everybody wants
peace. Now maybe we don't call it peace, maybe we call it peace of mind. Maybe we don't call it peace of mind, we call it
Knowledge. Maybe if we don't call it meet er peace, we call it God. Maybe we don't call it God, we call it the Word. If we don't
call it the Word, maybe we call it the primordial vibration. But it all comes to one point, that we need something. And
that something that everybody is looking for is peace.

And this Knowledge is so wonderful. Because you can be eating, you can be driving, you can be sleeping - I mean, that sounds a little peculiar but you can be sleeping - and still meditate on this Name.
It's so fantastic. I mean, people talk about concentration. And for reasons such as driving race cars their concentration should be completely straight. (I'll tell you one thing.
There is one car that has been given to me by a premie in Boston. It's a real fast car. And it really needs good concentration.) But when you start meditating on this Knowledge,
you could be going a hundred miles an hour in rush hour without hitting a car. It's so good. It's so beautiful. But then there's the crazy mind.

Now, I have realized, and six million people have realized, this inner Peace, this inner Knowledge that is within inside of us all, this primordial vibration, this supreme energy, this kinetic energy that is also making us alive.
… But the point is, until we realize that supreme energy, until we realize that primordial vibration, we cannot have Peace. … But when somebody reveals this Peace,
this primordial vibration, this supreme energy within inside of us, then it is something. It's really something. Because it's right there but we do not know it. We do not have the proper method to realize it.
… And this Knowledge is so far out, it's so beautiful, that you can meditate upon it even when you are sleeping, even when you are walking, even when you are driving. It is not like that,
that if you have to watch television, then either you can only watch a television or drive a car. But here the point is that this Knowledge is right within inside of you vibrating each moment
and every second. And if you realize it, you can do any action of your life and still be right into it, and still be meditating, and getting the constant source of Peace.

So now I guess it's just about time when we'd better get ready and understand this Knowledge, and I mean we'd better, you know! Really, we'd better! Because if not,
then I just don't have to tell you what's going to happen next: you know it. Be frank, face up to it. Be frank with yourself and face up to it.
I'm not asking you to give up your religions or anything. I am telling you one thing: understand this Knowledge. It's fantastic, it's beautiful. And no matter what way I try to tell you,
it's still going to come out at the same point. Because this Word, this perfect Word, has been described, this perfect harmony has been described, in the Bible:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." It's been spoken of in the Ramayana also as Nam. In the Gita it's been spoken of as Shabd, as the Word.
In the Koran it's been called Pak Nam And it all just means Holy Name, the Word, the Perfect Word.
But what is that Perfect Word? It's not words, it's not w-o-r-d-s. It's w-o-r-d, it's a word. …
they did not describe the Word where they were supposed to describe it, I think that was pretty inconsiderate of them. Because they should have said it clearly right out there, "In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God," and whatever the Word was, that's it: They should have written it.
So what is that Word? I can reveal to you that Word practically within inside of yourself. I am not going to argue with you about this thing, because I am talking about something. that I know. A car has four tyres, I
know it because I can see that car running on four tyres.

And it is just by concentrating this mind upon that perfect - and it's not hard, because it is within inside of you. And it's very easy to concentrate. It's like, all Perfect Masters have written about this Knowledge.
This is really interesting, because see, Jesus came. He came in Middle East. Krishna came. He came in India. Ram came. He came in India. And all these Masters came. But still they say the same exact thing! They say about the Word. They say about the Light. They say about that far out Knowledge that is all within inside of us, that something to understand, that something that we call. That little something. What is that little something?

People who just like to read story books and happen to pick up a scripture and start reading it only for that, they won't be confused. But a person who is sincerely seeking
Knowledge of God, of Truth, he will certainly be confused. Because the build-up is correct, it's truthful, but where does it go? Where does it last? There is all this Knowledge,
Knowledge, Knowledge … Word, Word, Word Holy Word, Holy Breath, holy this and holy that … but where is it? It's just not there, not in words

This is Kali Yuga. People say it is a very bad age. In fact, there is no other age like this one. This is the age that is said to exist only by the power of Holy Name. Can you imagine that, can you imagine the glory of an age that exists only by the power of the Holy Name? Have you ever even thought about it? People talk about Sat Yuga, Dwapara, and Treta. But it has been written that this age exists only by the power of Holy Name. Do you know how powerful the Holy Name is? Have you ever thought about how powerful it is? And that's what this age depends upon.
That's why in this age we can do something that has never been done before, and which they will never be able to do again. That's why I say, wake up, listen carefully, and try to understand. Get ready now. Get yourselves together.

But we never understand how very fortunate the Kaliyuga is. Of course, nobody directly praises the Kaliyuga. But in this Kaliyuga, the Lord will incarnate with full power. Whoever he will be! That's the other
question. For this Kaliyuga, it's said that Kaliyuga is based on the Holy Name. By remembering the Holy Name, a man can cross the ocean of suffering and misery.

"How can I sing the glory of the Holy Name? Even Lord Rama could not sing the glory of that Holy Name." My duty is to tell you about this Knowledge and my request is that you should

Just try to concentrate. After a little while, all those ideas will be brushed out of you and you'll really, really become one with that Word. Then you just get into that flow of meditation. But if you sit there and try to fight it, then you waste your time.
Again, mind knows that it can be brushed out just like that. Once you are really in the rhythm of meditation, you can almost feel your mind trying to get you. You can almost feel it trying to pamper the ideas into you, putting thoughts into you
… And the difference is, if you want to know consciously, "I am doing meditation, I am doing meditation, I am one with God, I am one with God," then you won't be one with God.
You will be one with something else. See, those things are so tricky because they sort of look like they come on at the same angle, but they don't; they are quite a bit different.
We can always be in that Holy Word. And if we are one with that Holy Word, why would we want that to pause and another idea to come in telling us constantly that we are one with God
or one with that omnipresent power? It's just that, when that happens, we know it. We know it.

Therefore, we have to really open ourselves and do satsang, service and meditation, and be coming always from the right place so that we may proceed smoothly on the way of realization. And having experienced it, we have realized the beauty of life which is love and love which is truth and truth that is the source, the source of all existence.
Having realized that, we have all determined to work together so that we can help to help ourselves spread the Word, the Word of God to all human beings who equally have the right to know and experience what we have. We have to really open ourselves to these points, abide by them, so that we can accomplish what we have set out to do.

this is the example, it's very interesting. you know. John met Jesus. Before that he didn't do anything.
He didn't just sit down and he didn't write anything. You know, he didn't say, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
Now something happens, and this is the funny part: What happens? Nobody knows, but something happens. And all of a sudden, John changes. John - something happens in his life,

Because premies, this is only a three- day program. Hans Jayanti is going to be a seven-day program and then maybe very soon, maybe even as soon as next year, by Guru Maharaj Ji's Grace if everything goes okay, maybe we will have our land. …
And then maybe someday on this land, we'll have a two-week, or one-month Hans Jayanti (a few premies applaud). These are all possibilities, you know. You heard all those claps? Those were the unemployed people!
But anyway, whatever happens, we have to be always focused; we have to be always in that Holy Name. Because if we are not in that Holy Name, then where will we be? We'll be lost. Guru Maharaj Ji says, "Look. There's only one thing that is true in this world, there's only one thing that is real in this world." This one saint says that wherever you can see, it's all maya, it's all illusion. That's it.
It's all illusion. And what is really real in this world is that Holy Name, is Guru Maharaj Ji.
There is one song that goes "Without Guru Maharaj Ji, nobody is going to find the path." And it just becomes so obvious in our lives that, yes, we are made to be dependent on somebody, on that perfectness. We have to rely
on that perfectness. We have to be a beggar. And we have to be the "most humblest" beggar. Not just a beggar, but the "most humblest" beggar. Because everybody is a beggar. There is this one poem by Tulsidas. It
goes, "In this world, you should do two things. Accept Holy Name and give peace." And that's what you have to do. You have to be a beggar. And to understand that, and to beg from your heart. Because what else can you do?

Prem Rawat's "Knowledge" has three parts: regularly listening to his speeches, doing voluntary work for organisations serving him or donating money and daily meditation correctly practicing the four techniques he recommends. The techniques are so simple it's hard to see how they could be practiced incorrectly. First technique ("Divine Light") involves sticking your thumb and middle finger on your eyeballs (NB: with eyes closed) and your index finger between your eyebrows. Second technique: ("Heavenly Music") poking your thumbs into your ears and listening. Third technique: ("Holy Name") thinking about your breathing (NB: continue to breathe). Fourth technique: ("Nectar") curling your tongue backwards and tasting. Rawat's father taught slightly different techniques but either way it's difficult to see how these could produce the benefits claimed for them especially as Rawat claims His Knowledge is the only method of attaining real happiness and love in this life.
