Prem Rawat's (Maharaji) Teachings - Jargon Glossary - In His Own Words

Prem Rawat and this followers have developed a jargon of their own:

scattered: This does not refer to a physical separation but to his followers not being concentrated enough on his Knowledge, it's practice and the Giver of the Gift, himself.
Examples: "Because our minds are unfocused, because our minds are just completely scattered into this world, we just cannot comprehend, we just cannot focus on that perfect love and perfect harmony." Millenium '73, Hans Jayanti, Houston Astrodome Divine Times, November 1979, Volume 8, Number 6
"When you're making music you've got to meditate. If you're not remembering the Word you're just scattered." Give Peace A Chance, The Golden Age, Number 4, Thursday, April 25, 1974
"Be here. Don't space out. If you are here and there, if you are scattered, if you are going to Orlando, having coffee and all that ..." 11/4/78 Kissimmee, Florida
"Be concentrated, be focused on what you HAS to do...A lot of people get very scattered, a lot of people have bad habits, they like to start to do a little bit of this, and a little bit of that, a little bit of that and a little bit of that, and then pretty soon they are completely overwhelmed." Amaroo Participation Meeting, 3rd September, 1997

Prem Rawat's "Knowledge" has three parts: regularly listening to his speeches, doing voluntary work for organisations serving him or donating money and daily meditation correctly practicing the four techniques he recommends. The techniques are so simple it's hard to see how they could be practiced incorrectly. First technique ("Divine Light") involves sticking your thumb and middle finger on your eyeballs (NB: with eyes closed) and your index finger between your eyebrows. Second technique: ("Heavenly Music") poking your thumbs into your ears and listening. Third technique: ("Holy Name") thinking about your breathing (NB: continue to breathe). Fourth technique: ("Nectar") curling your tongue backwards and tasting. Rawat's father taught slightly different techniques but either way it's difficult to see how these could produce the benefits claimed for them especially as Rawat claims His Knowledge is the only method of attaining real happiness and love in this life.
