"And now is the time, premies. I've been saying that in 1978. I'll say it in 1979. And come 1980, I'll say it again, if I'm around. But the point is, it's not how many times I'm going to say it. It's when are you going to do it? When are you going to make that commitment happen? When are you going to make that effort manifest? That's when it's all going to come alive for you. That's when it's going to become a reality for you."

Parents will have special access to half of two food concessions stands (numbers one and five) located in the area designated for childcare. To use these food stands, you must register at the Children's World information table. PARENTS ASSISTANCE Aisle seats in many areas of the Coliseum have been reserved for parents with young children. Parents Assistance personnel wearing Rainbow armbands will help parents locate seats and may be able to provide other assistance. Childcare facilities are at the opposite end of the main entrance to the Coliseum in the hallway on the level just above the ground floor. For convenience it is suggested that parents sit in the right hand balcony nearest the childcare area. Unfortunately, there is only one stairway going from the childcare area to the upper seating level. On darshan day, all parents with children are asked to sit in sections R and RR through C and CC so that they can go through darshan first. (It may be a good idea for families to return to hotels for a nap and dinner after darshan, as this will be a long day for children.) FOOD There will be no meal service similar to that at past festivals. Divine Light Mission operated concessions stands will open early each morning with breakfast foods available and will remain open throughout the day offering a variety of hot and cold foods. Each concessions stand will offer a variety of items; consult the menu boards located near the stand. Parents will have special access to half of two stands, numbers one and five, located in childcare. Obviously, to avoid long lines, it will be helpful if people dine at varying hours. Service personnel are encouraged to take breaks and purchase their food individually. DIVINE SALES Divine Sales will offer many recent publications and photographs as well as a variety of new items including a January Divine Times, seven photos, a special 16-tape set of Hans Jayanti satsangs and a new One Foundation/Holi tape! Please leave your shoes under your seat during darshan. Also, please do not carry any purses or clothing in the line. Premies are requested to go through the line only once. If you have never received Holy Breath, please place your right hand to your right ear, AS YOU APPROACH GURU MAHARAJ JI. (Holy Breath is given by the Perfect Master when he formally accepts you as his devotee, and is not requested a second time.) DOS AND DON'TS If you have not received Holy Breath, place your right hand to your right ear AS YOU APPROACH GURU MAHARAJ JI so that he can see that you are asking for it. Please pay all of the hotel charges you have accrued during your stay. Check to be sure that charges for phone, room service, laundry, etc. are paid in full at the time of check-out. Ask for the help of a parent's assistant if you think you have come across a lost child in the Coliseum. Usually the parents are close by and if you just place the child on your shoulders and look in the area, you will probably find the parents. If they are taken to childcare, then they will really be lost. DON'T Please do not wait until you are right in front of Guru Maharaj Ji to ask for Holy Breath. Place your right hand to your right ear AS YOU APPROACH HIM. Please do not do formal meditation in an open or public area, with or without a cover. Please refrain from smoking in areas where you are likely to disturb others. |

"Until the next program, keep doing satsang, service and meditation. Make that effort. Be a true devotee. Not a devotee in your dreams. Not act as a devotee. But to be a real devotee. Have that real devotion. Have that cord of devotion." -- Guru Maharaj Ji |
Prem Rawat's "Knowledge" has three parts: regularly listening to his speeches, doing voluntary work for organisations serving him or donating money and daily meditation correctly practicing the four techniques he recommends. The techniques are so simple it's hard to see how they could be practiced incorrectly. First technique ("Divine Light") involves sticking your thumb and middle finger on your eyeballs (NB: with eyes closed) and your index finger between your eyebrows. Second technique: ("Heavenly Music") poking your thumbs into your ears and listening. Third technique: ("Holy Name") thinking about your breathing (NB: continue to breathe). Fourth technique: ("Nectar") curling your tongue backwards and tasting. Rawat's father taught slightly different techniques but either way it's difficult to see how these could produce the benefits claimed for them especially as Rawat claims His Knowledge is the only method of attaining real happiness and love in this life.
