Hans Jayanti In Canada

In a last minute decision, Guru Maharaj Ji announced in Denver that He will attend the Hans Jayanti celebration in Toronto on November 9th and 10th instead of in Patna, India, as originally planned. At press time there were few details about the program other than the location and that it would be attended by Maharaj Ji, Durga Ji, Raja Ji and his wife, Claudia. The Toronto festival will be the first public satsang that Maharaj Ji has given since Millennium '73, one year ago at the Houston Astrodome. Divine Light Mission officials expect a crowd of approximately 7,500 at this year's celebration.

Dancing Souls

Family - the one you grew up with since your day of rebirth. Genes and chromosomes had nothing to do with it; a higher order of selection brought us together now, and where else in the universe could 12,000 brothers and sisters come together and feel only the intimacy of love?

Nobody Can Help It! Guru Puja, Amherst, Mass., July 6, 7 1974
I was trying to explain in Copenhagen that the value of zero is the most important value. We have tried the value of one, and the value of two, the value of three, four, and so on. But we have never tried the value of zero. If we try the value of zero, maybe that's where the answer lies. Because one starts from one and ends at one. Two starts from two, and ends at two. They are limited figures. But zero has something behind it which has no limit. That zero is where we have to focus; that zero is what we have to realize. I mean, what is zero?

Working Together
Guru Maharaj Ji was talking about how each community should have a "DUO Community Club." It would be a place where all the premies could come together and not only have satsang but also have training programs for your children, recreational activities for the premies, meditation rooms, workshops and so on. Maharaj Ji wants us to be together as a family.

Hans Jayanti
Maharaj Ji wore His regal attire on the second and third nights of Millennium '73. On the second evening He was crowned for the first time in the West. A seven tiered stage was pre-fabricated and then assembled in a matter of hours for the Millennium '73 celebration. Maharaj Ji's throne was backed by a lighted lucite teardrop. On the bleachers behind the stage were massive "Shri Hans swans" made from crepe paper stuffed into chicken wire

Editorial
Perhaps one of the reasons for this obvious leap in conscious awareness was the marriage of Maharaj Ji and Durga Ji. In her satsang in Copenhagen, Durga Ji said that Maharaj Ji had given her the service of bringing the premies to a more personal relationship with Him. What a gift for us! And as their marriage took place, it created the context for the family to come into play.

The Perfect Vacation

The Perfect Vacation is meditation, is Knowledge. I would add, "Knowledge is a necessity, not a luxury."

The First Handful Rick Berman, July 6, 1974, Amherst Guru Puja
So remember that you have to be all united, you have to be all united under one thing. Now many people just don't come to Divine Light Mission because they think that Divine Light Mission is nasty, Divine Light Mission is rude, but just understand that Divine Light Mission is not a man. Divine Light Mission is not a banana. - Guru Maharaj Ji

Active Membership Program
The Active Membership Program (AMP) is based on the realization that dedication is a way of life, no matter what lifestyle we choose to live, and that the way to practically manifest this devotion is through a constant, committed and united effort on the part of all the premies.
